This month, Mechanical Power (MPI) celebrated 50 years in business. Team members, friends and family joined us to mark the occasion. Aaron from Wauconda Highlights stopped by to capture a few moments, and Sergio from FD Taquitos catered the celebration. A huge shout-out to Sergio for the outstanding taquitos!
Jim Dorn founded MPI from the ground up and remained closely involved for nearly five decades. His commitment shaped a company where product quality, dependable service and integrity matter every day.
The power transmission industry has changed over those 50 years. Through it all, MPI’s employees have worked to help customers get the parts they need and keep their operations moving. Our customers and partners have placed their trust in us, challenged us to improve and helped us grow.
As we look ahead, the principles Jim established remain our foundation: offer great products, deliver high quality on time, keep costs competitive and treat people with honesty and respect.
MPI supplies bearings, sprockets, chain and other industrial components. But the story of our first 50 years is ultimately a story about people: the founder who built the business, the team members who carry it forward, and the customers and partners who have grown with us.
